Ashley Willcott on Court TV
By the time Ashley was in the seventh grade, she was certain she wanted to practice law. She taught her class simulated trial lessons that she had learned from a nearby law school. She was chosen as the prosecutor and was taken in hand over fist.
Even in middle school, she enjoyed learning about legal principles and developing solid arguments. She began by working for a small law practice that specialized in family and corporate litigation so that she could obtain quick court experience and develop close bonds with clients.
Her selection as a Special Assistant Attorney General was the result of her developing remarkable skills in all facets of litigation and negotiation. Governor Nathan D. Deal named her as Georgia’s child advocate in appreciation of her accomplishments.
After the term had ended, she went back to her private practice, where she used her knowledge, candor, command of the language, comfort with clarity, mental agility, and critical thinking to earn the position of judge in Dekalb County Juvenile Court.
She has become an expert legal analyst for high-profile cases on prestigious national media platforms like Nancy Grace, Law and Crime, Court TV, HLN, CNN, and Fox Nation as a result of this. She does well in demanding, aggressive settings while staying centered, competent, and sensible.
