Byron Noem is a businessman, insurer, and rancher. He is well known as the 33rd First Gentleman of South Dakota. His wife, Kristi Noem, has been the Governor of South Dakota since January 2019.

Family
Bryon Noem was born and raised in a small rural town in Hamlin County near Bryant, South Dakota. His parents Sharon Noem and Al Noem still live in South Dakota. He obtained his business finance degree from Northern State University.
He began coaching a local basketball team while also working at his family farm where his passion for developing small towns began.
Bryon began working at the Bryant State Bank as an insurance agent and later purchased the insurance portion of the bank which later became Noem Insurance.
Job
Bryon has been working in his hometown in South Dakota ever since he finished college. He worked on the family farm and managed a couple of their family businesses before he joined the world of insurance.
Bryon now runs Noem Insurance which focuses on crop insurance. He is also a high school basketball coach for the Hamlin High School Chargers basketball team.

Wife
Bryon is married to South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem. They met in high school and got married in 1992. The two worked together in different businesses in their small town like running an ice cream shop, operating a ranch and a farm, managing a family restaurant, and running an insurance agency.
Bryon and his wife have three children Kassidy, Kennedy, and Booker. Their grandson, Adeline “Addie” West Peters, was born in June 2021.

Kristi praised her husband and children on her Instagram in a touching post saying;
As the years went by and the kids were born, his actions revealed to me how he viewed fatherhood. He served. He gave Kassidy her first bath. In fact, my mom came to stay with us a few days after she was born and after a few hours she came to me and said, ‘I might as well go home. Bryon won’t let me do anything.’
When Kennedy was a baby, she had reflux so bad, everyone was reluctant to hold her because of the spit up bath she was sure to give them. But her dad held her constantly and thought it was “cute.”
Booker was such a sick little boy with so many breathing problems he needed multiple inhalers, medications, and constant trips to the hospital. Bryon prayed over him every night, asking God to heal our little boy.
When you look at our family home videos, you will find they were all taken by Bryon. I’m not sure it ever occurred to me to document those busy years. Yet there are hours and hours of video of the kids playing, talking, and sometimes just watching TV!
It is almost as if he knew how special those moments were and wanted to save them for me to enjoy when I decided to slow down enough to appreciate them.
Earlier this month, Bryon walked Kassidy down the aisle and prayed over her as she began her new life with our new son-in-law, Kyle.
We’re so proud of the strong, smart, and kind woman Kassidy has become, and I’m so glad she picked someone to marry who has a heart of service like her dad.
Kristi Cheating Rumours
In September 2021, rumors began spreading online that Kristi was having a secret affair with Corey Lewandowski. She responded to the rumors on her Twitter account saying;
“These rumors are total garbage and a disgusting lie. These old, tired attacks on conservative women are based on a falsehood that we can’t achieve anything without a man’s help. I love Bryon. I’m proud of the God-fearing family we’ve raised together. Now I’m getting back to work.”
