Jesse Jones is an American journalist at KIRO TV as a Consumer Investigations Reporter and Advocate. Before joining KIRO, Jesse worked at KING-TV in Seattle as a consumer reporter from 2005 to 2014. He has also worked at WLWT-TV, WMAR-TV, and KSTW-TV.
Career Timeline
Jesse graduated from Montana State Univerity-Bozeman with a Bachelor of Science in Film and Television Production. He began his career at KSTW-TV 1989 as a teleprompter operator and receptionist.
Years later he was promoted to sports reporter, news reporter, and Special Projects Reporter until he left the station in 1993. Jesse joined WMAR-TV in 1993 as an investigative reporter in Baltimore, Maryland. He later spent 4 years at WLWT-TV in Cincinnati, Ohio as an investigative reporter.
In 2005, Jesse joined KING-TV as a consumer reporter. During his ‘Get Jesse’ segment, he would share tips on how his viewers would save money in different fields and also share bizarre stories happening around the United States.
Jesse announced on his Facebook that he will be joining KIRO7 which is also in Seattle.
“I leave KING because of a new and exciting opportunity at KIRO-TV. This is going to be thrilling with lots of hard work in store…But I wouldn’t want it any other way.” Jesse said.
In October 2014, Jesse joined KIRO7 News as a consumer investigator and reporter. He has been working at KIRO7 for 10 years as of 2024. As a consumer investigator, Jesse exposes big corporations and scam schemes such as crypto scams and big businesses.

Jesse has been married for over 30 years now to his wife Kim. They have a daughter called Cydney. His wife works as a nurse.
Health
In 2021, Jesse had to undergo open heart surgery after experiencing shortness of breath for a few months. He gave an update on his Facebook that his quadruple bypass surgery was successful and has been taking time to recover at home. He also urged his followers to have regular checkups to detect any abnormalities early.
So I just wanted to give everyine an update. Two weeks ago i had quadruple bypass surgery. Im fine now, but this was really tough. My wife Kim has been unreal, taking care of me while suppriting my daughter and working. Shes truly the best. Im going to be off work for a while until i get 100% healthy. The level of supprot ive received do far has been ubeliavble. Thanks to all of you for your kind words and well wishes. Finally, listen to your body and if something is wrong see a doctor as soon as you can. That saved my life.
In 2010, Jesse had to take a leave of absence for cancer treatment. He was first diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2007.
