Lawrence began hosting Lawrence Jones Cross Country in January 2022 on Fox News. His show features newsmakers from across the political and cultural spectrum, highlighting the most pressing issues affecting Americans across the country.

Jones has been noted for his unique storytelling and “man-on-the-street” pieces focused on the effect of various issues on local neighborhoods after joining FOX News Media in 2018, most commonly in primetime on Sean Hannity’s top-rated program.

Jones is also a guest host for FOX & Friends weekdays and weekends, Outnumbered, and The Five on Fox. In April 2023, Jones hosted Fox News Tonight after the departure of Tucker Carlson. With his type of work, there can never lack of controversy; In April 2019, Jones was reporting live from the U.S.-Mexico border in Laredo, Texas while wearing a bulletproof vest. He was bashed online amongst other journalists who said they never used protective gear while reporting from the border.

Jones then appeared on Fox News, wearing a heavier vest and claiming that the US Border Patrol had advised him to wear a bulletproof vest for his protection.

Lawrence went to Garland High School and graduated in 2011. He later joined the University of North Texas and graduated with a degree in political science and criminal justice. Jones became the Garland Independent School District’s youngest employee when he was employed as a student advocate.

He ran for a position on the school board for this district when he was 19, but he lost. He served on the Dallas County Child Welfare Board for two years. Jones served on the Garland Parks and Recreation Board in 2012.
