Dueweke Career Timeline
Dueweke graduated from Michigan State University, majoring in Theatre and General Studies. She also has a degree in broadcast journalism from Oakland University. She got her first journalism job at Fox 2 WJBK as an intern.
After graduating from college, Liz joined KRNV CH.4 in January 2007 as a morning and midday anchor, reporter, producer, and web editor. She was also a weather presenter at KYMA. She joined WJRT in November 2008 as a weekend anchor and dayside reporter.
In March 2010, Liz joined KOKH- FOX25 as a morning anchor, reporter, and social media content creator. She later joined KOMO-4 TV in Seattle as a morning news anchor and midday reporter. While at KOMO-4 TV, Liz anchored the morning news which was the #1 in morning ratings. She also worked closely with her team to deliver breaking news and reported on the Seahawks Superbowl Victory Parade live.
In April 2014, Liz joined KCPQ-TV Q13 FOX in Seattle Washington working as a morning news anchor. As the main anchor for Good Day Seattle, she ensured the morning show became the top-rated local morning show.
She also used the station’s social media pages on Instagram Facebook, and Twitter to share engaging content which resulted in thousands of followers. In July 2023, Liz joined KFOX14 in El Paso, Texas as the main news anchor, reporter, and content creator.
Besides her journalism job, Liz is also a mentor, public speaking specialist, and confidence coach. She joined Amplify, a public speaking and coaching company in May 2024.

Leaving KFOX14
In September 2024, KFOX-TV shared that Liz Dueweke would be anchoring her last newscast on KFOX14.
“Tonight will be Liz Dueweke’s last newscast on KFOX14. We wish her nothing but the best in her future endeavors, we’re going to miss you, Liz!”
She later announced on her social media pages that she would be going back to Seattle and was thankful for her time in El Paso. She also asked her followers to refrain from creating rumors and speculations about her departure since she had no bad blood with her former employer.
