Madison Wade is a journalist working at KING 5 as a weekend evening anchor and reporter. Before joining KING 5, Madison was the evening news anchor for the 5 and 11 pm newscast at ABC10. She has also worked at KRCR ABC7 in Redding, WBIR 10 News in Knoxville, and Fox Sports.

Madison was born to her mother Melanie. She has shared numerous interactions with her family including her stepfather Randy and father showing the strong bond they have with each other.

Her family and friends were also present at her proposal; they later surprised her with a dinner celebration which made the day more special. She shared;
“24 hours as a fiancée and it was one surprise after another 💍. Shortly after Brian proposed, our entire families were waiting to surprise us for dinner and celebrations! I lost it. It was so special. Then a surprise staycation at @fsseattle 🤍 @leahpezzetti surprised us at brunch. Then a surprise trip to @sageclifferesort – such a beautiful place to relax. I feel like the luckiest girl in the world.”
Career Timeline
Madison studied at Holy Names Academy and later attended Gonzaga University in Spokane. She then joined Chapman University and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in television and Broadcast Journalism.
Before landing her first journalism job, Madison interned at Fox 5 San Diago, Fox Sports, CBS News, and KNBC. She began her journalism career at KRCR in Redding, California as a news anchor and reporter.
Madison then joined WBIR 10 News in Knoxville, Tennesse as a news reporter. In March 2018, Madiosn moved to Sacramento, California, and joined ABC10 where she was the late-night news anchor and multi-skilled journalist.
While at ABC10, Madison launched a true crime series called Unsolved California to bring to light cases that remain unsolved. She also received an Emmy award for her extensive coverage of deadly wildfires in Northern California.

KING 5
After four years at ABC10, Madison joined KING 5 as the weekend evening news anchor and reporter. She shared a long post on her Facebook in May 2022, announcing her departure from ABC10 and her big move to Seattle.
The post read;
“✨ANNOUNCEMENT ✨
When people ask me, “why did you become a journalist?” I tell them, I hope to make a difference in someone’s day, life or future. As I’m writing this, it is evident that Sacramento and this community has made a difference in my life.
After more than 4 years, my time at ABC10 is coming to a close. I am fulfilling my dream of going home to Seattle! I have accepted the weekend evening anchor/reporter role at KING 5. It is a station I grew up watching and what inspired me to become a journalist. Taking this step is a goal more than a decade in the making and I can’t wait to share more details soon.
My last day at ABC10 is June 3. I cannot thank you enough for trusting me, telling me your stories, and allowing me into your life when you were experiencing joyous, heartbreaking, and heartwarming moments.
