Marni began her journalism career in May 2001 working at WBNS-TV as an Associate Producer. She then joined WISE in Fort Wayne, Indiana where she worked as a news anchor and reporter. She then moved to KTSU in Salt Lake City in October 2003 working as an anchor and reporter.
From August 2006 to October 2011, Marni worked for KMSP-TV in Minneapolis as an anchor and reporter. She then joined KCPQ in Seattle where she was the main evening news anchor.
