Russell Kinsaul is an American journalist working at KMOV News 4 in St. Louis as an evening reporter for 4:00 p.m., 5:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m. newscasts. He has previously worked as a morning anchor at KJRH-TV in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
Throughout his career at KMOV, he has toured the bi-state region of St.Louis and beyond covering some of the area’s main news headlines from fires to floods, pirates to protests, and assault weapons to combat heroes, he’s covered it all.

Kinsaul studied under a McMahon Journalism Scholarship from the University of Oklahoma. He began his career in television news as a camera operator in Oklahoma when he was 16 years old. He has strong Midwestern roots, spending over a decade at CBS affiliate KCTV in Kansas City. Rusell has also co-anchored KCTV’s newscasts at 5, 6, and 10 p.m.
In late 2004, he flew over Cuba and through Hurricane Ivan in a military jet, which was a huge accomplishment in his career. He came back from his rough, dangerous journey with a two-part broadcast that aired on News 4 and gave viewers an inside look at the effort to monitor and track hazardous storms.
Russell takes great satisfaction in his community participation and attempts to devote his time to initiatives to better the lives of our community’s youth. He’s worked on initiatives like the Ronald McDonald House, CASA, and Variety. And has been a regular volunteer for the United Way and groups that seek to prevent child abuse over the years.
