Trevor Ault is an American journalist working for ABC News as a news correspondent and multi-platform reporter. Before joining ABC News, Trevor worked at KOIN-TV as the Weekend Evening Anchor and Reporter.

Trevor’s Career Timeline

Ault went to The Defiance College and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Communications (Public Relations focus) and a minor in Business.

He also graduated from Syracuse University – Newhouse School of Public Communications with a Master of Science (M.S.) in Broadcast and Digital Journalism with a Sports Communications Emphasis.

Ault joined ABC News in April 2019 initially as a multiplatform reporter. He has co-anchored World News Now on ABC.

He has also worked as a correspondent for ABC News appearing in shows such as GMA3: What You Need to Know, This Week, Good Morning America, and Good Morning America Weekend Edition.

Trevor was promoted to ABC News correspondent based in New York in 2020. He has covered the  COVID-19 pandemic, pressed President Trump and the White House Coronavirus Task Force on shortages of critical medical equipment, the deadly surge in New York, and the  South Dakota’s Sturgis Motorcycle Rally.

Fox Sports

Ault began his career at Fox Sports as a Digital Content Producer- at Minnesota Vikings in 2013. He produced content for Min.Scout.com covering the Minnesota Vikings training camp. He also covered regional high school football and basketball recruits.

WTOL TV

In October 2013, Trevor joined WTOL TV initially as a Reporter, Fill-in Anchor, and Digital Content Producer. While there, he Reported regular stories for morning newscasts, filled in at the anchor desk as needed, and reported traffic and sports.

He also managed and generated content for the station’s web and social media pages. Trevor was promoted to morning anchor and reporter in July 2015. He anchored the FOX Toledo Daybreak segment.

KOIN-TV

In April 2016, Trevor was hired by KOIN-TV in Portland, Oregon as a Breaking News Anchor and Reporter. He provided breaking news stories for  KOIN 6 News in the Morning. In July 2018, he was promoted to the Weekend Evening Anchor and Reporter.

Ault’s salary is not known, however, correspondents at ABC News earn an estimated annual salary of between $60, 000 and $250, 000 annually.
